What is CrossFit?

CrossFit is a functional training program that is very popular in Europe and the United States, where you perform different training sessions at high intensity each time, focusing on daily movements (functional movements). It is characterized by dividing the basic movement elements into 10 parts and training them evenly for each element. The training is based on movements that are repeated in daily life, such as walking, running, getting up, picking up, lifting, pushing, pulling, and jumping. You can feel that daily activities become easier as you improve your basic physical strength. Training is open to everyone, and certified coaches will tailor the program to suit your individual physical fitness level, age, and fitness background. The appeal is that the small class sizes allow men and women to have fun together. In the United States, where CrossFit originated, it was adopted by the military and police for training and survival training, and has since become popular among many people. There are already over 13,000 Box*1 stores around the world, and it is starting to attract attention as a new fitness program in Japan. *1: Box is the name of a gym where you can experience CrossFit.
